Dukkah buns are a classic and the sweetness of our childhood ☺️I always loved them and still do. Although the classic is with vanilla custard, strawberry custard is fantastic for a variation. My kids love them.
1.
In a bowl, first mix together the flour, salt and sugar. Then add the oil and the yeast swelled in 3.25dl milk. You should get a soft, semi-soft dough that is already starting to separate from the bowl. Finally, knead the dough briefly into a loaf and leave it to rise for 30 minutes.
2.
Roll out the risen dough to the thickness of a finger and cut into small pieces/buns☺️ Place the buns on a baking sheet with parchment paper close together by dipping 1 side of each bun in oil and placing it next to the other bun☺️They will be lovely to take apart after baking.Bake the buns in a preheated oven at 190°C for 20 minutes without underbaking.

While the buns are baking, prepare the pudding in a fairly classic way. As the buns need a thinner pudding, I usually use 2 sachets per 1,5L of milk. Sugar is to everyone’s taste.I also added 1 vanilla sugar for a better taste.
4.
Bake the buns and immediately brush them with a bit of butter, they will be beautifully soft Let them cool down a bit and take them apart nicely.
5.
Eat as many buns as you want and put them on a plate and top with warm strawberry pudding They are really delicious with strawberry pudding, after all a change from the classics never hurts Have a good taste!
