Dessert Pavlova with oranges
Dessert made from whipped egg whites and other ingredients, decorated with cream and orange segments.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Place the room temperature egg whites, cornstarch, wine vinegar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl and beat with a handheld electric beater until semi-stiff
2. Gradually add the caster sugar and beat until glossy and firm, finally add the vanilla extract
3. Then transfer the stiff egg whites to a baking tray lined with baking paper, forming a round about 25 cm in diameter and 5 cm high
4. Place in a preheated oven at 180 °C and bake for 10 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 90 °C and bake for 40 – 50 minutes, then turn off the oven, open it and leave the Pavlova in it overnight
5. Prepare the cream; whip the cream until stiff, stir in the icing sugar, vanilla extract and finally carefully fold in the sour cream
6. Before serving, decorate with the cream and peeled orange segments.
