Demikát – brynzová soup

Demikát is a Slovak bryndza soup. It is used as a base water in which to cook halušky called haluškovica.

Ingredients:

1.5 l of halušek water 100 ml sweet cream 150 g brandy 2 pcs breadcrumbs 2 pcs onions 1 tsp sweet paprika parsley fat cumin

Procedure:

1. Cut the peeled onion into thin slices and put it in the gnocchi
2. Add salt, cumin and paprika, cook until tender 3. Stir the brine with the cream, add a little broth, pour into the soup and stir thoroughly
4. Cut the bread into cubes and fry in the lard
