Delicious apricot cake

2 cups semi-coarse flour 1 cup powdered sugar to sweeten 1/2 cup butter (hera) 1 pk egg 2 dl milk (vegetable or animal) 1 packet vanilla sugar 1 packet baking powder 20 pk apricots

I got this cake from my grandmother. She used to bake it a lot, and as a girl I used to hang around her. One day I took a piece of paper and wrote it down, in my own words, in what was then still a child’s handwriting 🙂 Years later I discovered it, and I laughed at the writing…. We had a wonderful time together. From the magpie garden we could see Lietava castle like in the palm of our hand. I still have the house in Lietavska Svinna in front of my eyes. While my grandmother ruled she lived in the lower kitchen, with a stove. Oh, those were wonderful times!

Mix the flour, sugar and game for the sprinkles. Set aside less than a cup.

Add remaining ingredients to remaining sprinkle-mixture and mix. Pour onto a greased and floured baking sheet. Arrange the apricots on top. Layer the sprinkles you have set aside on top. Bake in the oven at 250 degrees until the edges are browned.

Sugar the surface after removing. This tart can be made with a variety of fruits, even compote.
