8 pcs eggs 250 g granulated sugar 450 g plain flour 1 pk Dr.Oetker baking powder 90 g butter 1/2 kg currants 100 g powdered sugar 200 ml whipped cream

Mix the 8 egg yolks with the caster sugar and butter. Add the cream. Sprinkle in flour mixed with pdp by teaspoonfuls

Cesto must be thick. Do not pour. Put on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.

Place the currants on the warm cake and mix them with a little icing sugar.

Beat the egg whites and icing sugar to make a whipped cream. Brush it over the sponge cake and bake the meringue until golden.
