Recipe from the now deceased Honza Vyčítal (1942-2020), founder of the country group Greenhorns, which he liked to cook on the road. Chundrácká zelňačka has the advantage that it is quickly ready and the next day it is even better, as it is melted and does not turn sour even in summer because no cream is added to the soup, but tomato puree.
Ingredients:

strips of grated garlic

legs of sausage

bean leaves

sweet red pepper
ground black pepper

Procedure:
In a cauldron, brown the chopped onion and bacon in the lard.
Add the grated garlic, bay leaf, allspice, whole pepper, when the spices and garlic begin to smell, sprinkle in the red pepper, stir, dump in a jar of red cabbage with the lard, add the tomato paste and pour in the water.
Stew for 15 minutes, the sterilized cabbage is soft and quickly cooked. Season the soup in the kettle with salt and pepper.
Pour the soup into plates and add the sliced sausage and chunks of roasted potatoes.
