Creamed Beef Roast

Roasted, bacon-studded, beef leg, braised in broth, served with cabbage cooked in meat broth.

Ingredients:

500 g of beef leg meat 250 g of cabbage 100 g skinless bacon 2 tbsp smooth flour 1 larger onion stock or water for pouring pepper oil salt

Procedure:

1. 1. Remove the meat, add the chopped onion to the oil, fry it until red, add water or stock and put back the browned beef
3. Simmer the leg, basting and occasionally pouring the stock, until tender
4. Remove the soft meat, fry the meat in the fat, dust with flour, fry and pour in the broth, simmer for a while
5. Strain the boiled sauce and add the diced cabbage, which we have washed beforehand, and simmer again so that the cabbage softens nicely
6. Cut the bacon that we have left into small cubes, cook it and finally add it to the sauce, which we do not forget to season with salt.
