Club Sandwich

Even though it’s a sandwich, it’s really a main dish served with chips or potato chips. It is toasted slices of toasted bread smeared with mayonnaise, interspersed with grilled turkey, browned bacon and Vegetable Recipes. It was popular in the USA in the late 19th century.

Ingredients:

400 g of turkey breast 150 g long thicker slices of bacon 12 pcs

slices of toasted bread 3-4 pcs of tomatoes 2 pcs hard boiled eggs 1/2 pcs sheets of romaine lettuce 6 tbsp mayoonnaise small pickles freshly ground pepper oil salt Other: spelt potato chips or fries

Procedure:

1. Salt and pepper the breasts, brush with olive oil and grill on both sides, slice the browned meat thinly across the grain
2. Grill the bacon slices until crispy and the toast until golden brown
3. Brush the toasted bread slices with a light layer of mayonnaise on one side and cover 8 pieces with finely sliced romaine lettuce
4. Spread sliced eggs and bacon on 4 toasts, sliced turkey, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers on the other 4 toasts, season with salt and pepper
5. Place the turkey, cucumber and tomato slices on top of the egg and bacon slices, cover with the remaining toasted bread
6. Pierce the prepared multi-layered toasts with skewers and cut each one diagonally
7. Serve the club sandwiches with potato chips or fried chips.

Recommendation:

In some recipes, the turkey meat is substituted with ham and sliced cheese.
