The proportions are given for a single serving, but you can easily adjust the spice for larger ice cream batches. If you want to mix a whole container of ice cream with cinnamon, you’ll need to let it soften a bit in the fridge. Don’t let it thaw too long or the ice cream will be a canapé soup instead. For each cup of ice cream, you will need 1/8 teaspoon bag of 1/4 cup cinnamon.
What you need
1 cup vanilla ice cream (good quality) 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
How to make it
Place the ice cream in a bowl. Let it soften for 3 minutes. Sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon of the cinnamon over the ice cream, then stir until well distributed. Taste for seasoning and add more cinnamon if desired. Serve immediately or cover and place in the freezer for a bit if you prefer a stronger ice cream. Use it soon, as frozen ice cream often creates an unpleasant grainy texture and is not as smooth and creamy.
