Cinnamon bun recipe

Most people love the smell of cinnamon buns baking in the oven. The sticky, sweet, caramelly goodness is hard to resist. If you’re one of those people who can’t resist a cinnamon bun, this recipe is for you!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1/2 cup pecans (optional)
Frosting:
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon milk
Instructions:
1. Combine the milk, sugar and yeast in a small bowl and set aside for 5 minutes, until the mixture is foamy.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg and salt. Stir in the yeast mixture.
3. Add the flour and cinnamon and mix until well combined. Stir in the brown sugar, raisins and pecans, if using.
4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour, until doubled in size.
5. Preheat the oven to 350F degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
6. Cut the dough into 12 pieces and roll each into a ball. Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown.
For the frosting:
1. In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Add the confectioners’ sugar, vanilla and milk and mix until smooth.
