Chocolate King’s cake with Thermomix

Here is the recipe for the chocolate king cake in Thermomix, a good chocolate almond cream cake, crispy and tasty, easy and quick to make for a good winter snack.

Ingredients:

1 puff pastry ( Recipe Here ) 120 g almond powder 100 g butter 80 g dark chocolate 100 powdered sugar 2 eggs 1 egg yolk for gilding

Preparation:

Put the chocolate in the bowl then chop for 7 seconds on speed 9.
Add the butter then set for 3 minutes at 50° on speed 2.
Add the sugar, eggs, and almond powder then mix for 30 seconds at speed 4.
Divide the puff pastry dough pieces then roll out each piece into a circle.
On the baking sheet, place a sheet of parchment paper then roll out a first circle of puff pastry and spread the almond cream all over the circle of pastry leaving 1 cm all around.
Wet the edges with a little water and cover with the second circle of puff pastry, seal the edges well then draw a pattern on the pastry with the tip of a knife.
Browning with an egg yolk added with a little water then bake for 30 minutes at 180°C.
