Chocolate-jam balls

4 pcs eggs 4 tbsp granulated sugar 2 tbsp plain flour 2 tbsp cocoa 1/2 packet of baking powder 4 tbsp apricot jam 200 g chocolate for coating a few drops of oil

Balls made of sponge cake dough and apricot jam, coated with chocolate.

Beat the egg whites with the sugar. Add the egg whites and continue beating. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder.

Add the dry ingredients to the eggs and process lightly. Pour the batter onto a baking tray with baking paper and bake at 180°C for 25 minutes. Let cool.

Crush the cooled sponge cake finely and add the jam. Work with your hands to make a dough from which to form the balls.

Place the balls on a tray and put them in a cooler to set for a bit. In the meantime, prepare the chocolate in which to dip them.

Cover the cooled balls with the chocolate to which you have added a little oil and since they are cold, the chocolate will set faster. For a better effect, drizzle with white chocolate as well.
