Chicken skewers Ras el Hanout
Last Updated on
Ras el Hanout, a spice blend much loved in the Arab world, spices up chicken skewers with its own twists. The date adds a nice sweet and tangy flavour.
Ingredients for four
500g chicken or chicken breast pieces / fillets; a couple of handfuls of minced meat; 2 onions 1 tbsp Ras el Hanout spice mix 1 tbsp olive oil 2 tsp salt barbecue skewers
Cut the chicken into pieces. Peel the onion and slice it so that the layers form pieces that can be slid onto the skewers.
In a bowl, mix the Ras el Hanout, olive oil and salt. Mix the other ingredients in a bowl and leave to marinate for an hour in a cool place.
Place the chicken skewers on the skewers. The dates sprout easily, so arrange them as tightly as possible next to the chicken or onion.
Grill the chicken skewers over a high heat for a few minutes to give the chicken time to cook.
Cook the chicken for a few minutes.
