Chicken and mushrooms are two ingredients that combine wonderfully, as the umami provided by the latter is the perfect seasoning to compensate for the little flavor that the breasts usually have. If we add to this the sauce that is formed by cooking the whole with a generous wine such as port, the result is a real scandal.
Ingredients
Chicken breasts, 2 small ones of about 200 g each Extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons Small onion, 1 Small onion, 1 Fresh mushrooms, 250 g Port wine, 150 ml Soy sauce, 2 tablespoons Liquid cream, 50 ml

Step 1
Cut the chicken breasts into two pieces and pan fry until lightly browned on the outside and set aside.
Step 2
In the oil left in the pan, fry the onion cut into brunoise and, when it begins to take color add the chopped mushrooms, give a few turns and add the reserved chicken.
Step 3
Pour the soy sauce and port wine, turn up the heat to evaporate the alcohol. When it stops smelling of alcohol, add the cream, lower the heat and simmer for about five minutes.
Step 4
Serve the chicken breasts hot accompanied by some fries that we can prepare in another pan while the chicken is cooking.
Notes
We can also serve the chicken breasts with port and mushrooms with boiled potatoes, mashed potatoes, white rice or boiled pasta.
If you prefer a lighter side dish, you can serve it with some grilled Vegetable Recipes, boiled cauliflower or a salad.
