Cherry pie with poppy seeds

5 pk egg 250 g fine granulated sugar 200 ml vegetable oil 200 ml sunflower 200 ml sour relish cream 50 ml milk 2 ml um 500 g semi-coarse flour 1 pk baking powder 1 KL baking soda 50 g whole poppy 2 tbsp milk fresh cherries

Cesto: in a bowl beat eggs and sugar with an electric mixer, progressively add oil, sour cream, milk, sifted flour mixed with baking powder and baking soda.

Grease the tray with higher sides and sprinkle with flour. The baking tray is 30×40 cm. Spread half of the dough over the tin. To the other half, add 2 tbsp milk, whole poppy seeds and mix. Spread with a spoon on the bottom dough.

Pile the washed, dried pitted sour cherries on the surface, you can also sprinkle some of them with flour so they don’t fall to the bottom. Use whatever fruit you have available, compote can also be used.

Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes or as desired. Test for doneness with a skewer. The edges of the pastry should be separating from the tin, this is when the cake is baked. Once cooled, sprinkle with icing sugar and vanilla sugar. Slice and serve. Enjoy!
