Cherry pie with curd

3 cups semi-coarse flour /volume 250 ml/ 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 pk vanilla sugar 1 pk egg lemon grated peel 1 packet baking powder 1 cup milk 50 g butter /to sprinkle on the surface/

Cheese filling:

500 g soft lumpy cottage cheese 2 tbsp caster sugar 1 pk vanilla sugar grated lemon zest fresh sour cherries

Cesto. Take 250 ml of it and add 50 g of butter, just use your fingers to combine and set aside on the top of the cake for the sprinkles.

Add the beaten egg, milk, baking powder, lemon zest to the rest of the mixture and mix. Pour the mixture onto a greased and floured baking tray. The baking sheet with higher sides is 30×40 cm. Sprinkle with flavoured curd, thickly pitted dried cherries and prepared sprinkles.

Cottage cheese filling: mix cottage cheese with icing sugar, vanilla and lemon zest. Wash and pit the cherries.

Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Figures are approximate. Test for accuracy with a skewer. When cool, sprinkle with icing sugar. Enjoy!
