Cheese gnocchi with ham

Noodles made of flour, milk, ham and other ingredients, fried until golden brown, served with tomato sauce.

Procedure:
1. Bring the milk, water, a pinch of mace and salt to the boil, stir in the butter, then stir in the sifted semi-coarse flour into the hot mixture and stir until the dough forms a loaf that does not stick to the sides and bottom of the casserole and that bounces off the sides
2. Stir the eggs, finely grated cheese and sliced ham into the partially cooled dough, then cut out gnocchi with 2 spoons, place them in the heated oil and fry them on all sides until golden brown (keep the fried gnocchi warm)
3. Mix the crushed tomatoes with the puree and bring to a boil over low heat, season with salt and pepper and finally stir in the finely chopped basil
4. Serve the hot fried gnocchi with the tomato sauce, garnished with the remaining basil.
