Cheap, simple lángos

500 g plain flour extra special 20 g fresh yeast 250 ml lukewarm milk 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon granulated sugar 2.5 tbsp sour cream turmeric as desired non-fat sour cream oil for frying

Last minute treat. Langes suitable for lunch with a rich soup or dinner.

Into lukewarm milk put 1L of sugar grind fresh yeast let the sourdough rise. Sift the flour into a large bowl add salt, sour cream and sourdough starter. With your hand, make a smooth dough which you put in a warm place to rise, cover with a cloth.

Transfer the risen dough to a floured work surface and separate the smaller pieces of dough. Using your hands, roll out into a thin circle,lángos.

Heat the oil, fry on both sides until golden.Grate the cheese and brush the lángos with sour cream or tartar sauce sprinkle lightly with turmeric as desired add ketchup, grated cheese and lunch dinner is on the table. This season’s actual dish. Bon appetit.
