Carrot cake with apples and nuts

1 kg grated apples 1 KL ground cinnamon 120 g crystal sugar 100 g chopped nuts 1 pk egg 1 packet vanillin sugar 1/2 packet baking powder 350 g plain flour 125 g Hera

Homemade apple pies always take me back to my childhood . Since we had a lot of apple trees , the most common pies were the ones with apples. I still adore that smell of apples and cinnamon to this day. #bakingbaking

Place the grated apples in a saucepan along with 120g of granulated sugar ( I personally prefer my apples a little more acidic)and simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Add cinnamon , chopped nuts and stir everything together. Let cool.

In a bowl, break a whole egg, add 120g granulated sugar, vanillin sugar and mix well with a whisk. Add the flour with baking powder and margarine cut into smaller pieces. With your hands, work the dough into a meal. It is ready in one or two 🙂

Prepare a mould with a diameter of 24-25 cm. Put paper on the bottom and sprinkle half of the crumble on top. Use a spoon or your hands to give it a little pat. Spread the apple mixture evenly on top and top with the remaining crumble.

Place in a preheated oven at 180C for about 40 minutes until the surface is golden. When cool, sprinkle with icing sugar.
