Cake pops – cake pops
Last Updated on
The ultimate name for any party. Cake pops can be made from either cake or biscuits. It’s a bit sticky at first but with practice you’ll get the hang of it.
20 cake pops
200g cake (e.g. mocha pieces) or 200g biscuits (e.g. 100g cream cheese (normal or vanilla) 150g chocolate (white or milk chocolate) 1 handful of nonparellas 20 cocktail sticks
Shred the cake or biscuits in a chopper until fine. Add the cream cheese so that the mixture “kneads”. It should be quite firm, like modelling clay.
Pyörittle the mixture into small balls. Too big will tend to fall apart in further processing. Place the balls on a small tray and freeze for a while.
Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Take to a bowl and set aside. Remove the cookie balls from the freezer; the surface should be slightly hardened.
Pyöräytä the balls in the chocolate, either with fingers, a spoon or a stick, however feels easiest.
If you happen to have a piece of styrofoam, you’re in luck. Put a stick in a ball and stand on the styrofoam. Sprinkle cake pops with nonpareils.
If you don’t have styrofoam, lift the balls onto a tray and decorate with styrofoam. Freeze for a minute and then put the sticks in the cake pops.
Kärsivällisityä and practice. That’s it.
