Cabbage soup with sausage and dried mushrooms

1,5 kg fermented cabbage 1 pk onion 3 cloves garlic 2 liters meat broth (water) vegetable oil (as needed) salt, black pepper whole/ground, bay leaf, cumin whole, paprika red ground sweet 1 handful dried mushrooms 300 g smoked sausage

Fry the chopped onion in oil in a saucepan, then add the sliced garlic and sauté together.

Add the cabbage and pour in the broth or water. Wash the cabbage in cold water beforehand. Add the bay leaf, whole and ground black pepper, cumin, red pepper and salt to taste. Add the sausage and mushrooms pre-soaked in water and cook for about 20-30 minutes, until soft.

Once cooked, remove the sausage, cut into thicker rounds, return to the cabbage soup, boil briefly and remove from the heat source.
