Recipe for a real bulgur, a sweet dessert baked with risen dough filled with plums or apples.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Make a loaf with plain flour, butter or lard, yeast and a little salt and leave it to rise in a warm place
2. Roll out the dough thinly and cut it into strips about 10 cm wide and 15 cm long
3. Cover with chopped prunes or apples, ground nuts, a little ground cinnamon and a drizzle of lemon juice
4. Fold the flatbread over and wrap at both ends, pour over the beaten egg and decorate with almond halves
5. Bake in a hot oven heated to 180-190 °C until golden brown.
