Butterless Shortcrust Pastry with Fromage Blanc
Here is the recipe for the shortcrust pastry without butter with cottage cheese, a good light shortcrust pastry, without butter or oil, very easy to make and perfect in savory or sweet version, for pies or quiches.
Ingredients for 6 people:
130 g flour 50 g cornstarch 100 g cottage cheese 0% 1 egg 1 pinch of salt ( or 1 teaspoon sweetener for sweet pies)
Preparation:
In a bowl put the sifted flour and cornstarch, salt or sweetener then add the egg, cottage cheese.
Mix then knead with your hands until you get a homogeneous dough.
Put in a cling film then place in a cool place for at least 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough then line a pie pan and prick it.
Fill your shortcrust pastry without butter with the cottage cheese of your choice then bake at 180° for 30 to 35 minutes.
