Buns with custard cream (without weighing)
Recipe for a favorite sweet lunch, buns with vanilla cream, in the preparation of which we measure the ingredients with a cup and spoon.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Sift the flour into a bowl, make a well and crumble the yeast into it
2. Sprinkle two teaspoons of sugar, 4 tablespoons of lukewarm milk and two teaspoons of flour
3. Let the leaven rise
4. Mix a pinch of salt with the remaining sugar and vanilla sugar, lemon zest, stir and add the butter and milk (not always a full cup is necessary, depending on the consistency of the flour), into which you have beaten the egg
5. Work into a smooth dough and leave to rise for an hour in a warm place
6. Then mix the dough and leave for another 30 minutes in a warm place
7. After the dough has risen, place it in a baking dish greased with oil and with a knife dipped in oil make horizontal and vertical cuts all the way down – this creates cubes
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C until golden brown
10. Cream: bring half of the milk to the boil, stir custard powder, sugar and essence into the rest and add to the boiling milk
11. Cook until the cream thickens

Recommendation:
Measure the ingredients with a 230 ml mug.
