Bulgarian Djuvech

Skop chops baked with tomatoes, peppers, onions and rice.

Ingredients:

Size for 4 people: 600 g of skewers 600 g of tomatoes 300 g rice

40 g of lard tr>

6 pcs green peppers 1 pcs onion salt 0.25 L water (broth) salt

Procedure:

1. Wash the peppers, cut them open, remove the kernels and cut them into thin noodles 3. Peel the onion and cut into thinner rounds 5. Grease a baking dish with lard, cover the bottom with sliced tomatoes, peppers, onions and lightly salt 6. Sprinkle with steamed, rinsed rice, salt and repeat the layers once more 7.

Recommendation:

Sometimes we need to add more water(broth) to make the rice tender.

Note:

Prepare the stock from the cube according to the manufacturer’s instructions or use fresh stock.
