Brioche Santa in Thermomix

Here is the recipe for brioche Santa Claus in Thermomix,a good brioche in the shape of Santa Claus, quite soft and perfect to make at Christmas snack to make the eyes of small children shine.

Ingredients:

500 g flour 80 ml milk 2 eggs 40 g sugar 20 g fresh yeast 1 tablespoon vanilla 100 g butter 1 pinch of salt 1 egg yolk Red food coloring 1 black olive cut in 2

Preparation in Thermomix:

Put the milk and yeast in the Thermomix bowl, then set it to 37° for 3 minutes on speed 2.
Add the flour, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract and salt then set 2 minutes on epi.
Add the butter cut into pieces then set 10 minutes on epi.
Remove the dough and let it rise in a bowl for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Then degas the dough and cut it into 3 pieces.

Roll out the first dough piece into a pear shape and then place it on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Roll out the second dough piece into a half circle shape, then cut strips across the width, then place this dough on the bottom of the first pear-shaped dough.

Twist the strips to give the image of a curly beard.
With the third dough piece, take 2 balls of dough, one for the nose and the other for the pompom, with the rest make the reverse side of the cap and the mustache.
Place the nose, the pompom and reverse of the cap and mustache then form the eyes with the black olive cut in 2.

Cover the brioche Santa with a clean cloth then let rise for 40 minutes.
Beat the egg yolk then brush the mustache, beard, face and cap pompon.
Spread the red dye in a little water then brush the cap and nose.
Preheat the oven to 180°C then put your brioche Santa in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
