Brie with fruit and nuts

This noble cheese with a creamy texture and mild buttery taste will delight anyone who enjoys delicious mould cheese. The thick, soft cow’s milk cheese with white mould on the surface is best enjoyed with a crusty French baguette and a fine wine.

Ingredients:

Le rustique Brie a plate of fresh mixed fruit (melon, pears, apples and berries) mix of natural cashews and walnuts fresh crispy French baguette light crisp wine

Procedure:

  • Allow the cheese to adjust to room temperature before serving to develop flavor and aroma. Soft cheeses like Brie are best cut using a knife with a contoured blade (the knife has holes and is topped with a “fork”).
  • Serve baguette slices and other accompaniments on plates or wooden cutting boards, and don’t forget the great wine!
  • Recommendation:

The flavor of the cheese stands out when paired with fruit (such as melon or berries), nuts and light, crisp wines (can be sparkling). In general, when pairing wine with cheese, you can stick to the rule that the more intense and complex the flavour of the cheese, the more intense and full-bodied the wine should be.
