Recipe from South Bohemia for boiled dumplings topped with plum sauce.

Ingredients:

500 g of coarse flour 30 g of yeast 2 dl milk 1 pc of egg yolk 1 pc of egg 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp sugar a pinch of lemon zest water salt For the sauce: 200 g of dried plums, 2 dl water 1 tbsp sugar 1/2 tbsp grating powder 1/2 tsp

Procedure:

1. Dissolve the yeast in the milk, with which knead the slightly salted flour; when the dough has risen, add the egg, egg yolk, lukewarm melted butter, sugar, lemon peel and mace
2. Work the dough thoroughly and immediately make lemon-sized dumplings, which you leave on a floured rolling pin to rise for at least 20 minutes
3. Drop the prepared dumplings into boiling water and cook for 5 minutes on one side and 5 minutes on the other

Prepare the plum sauce.
