1 Fry the chopped onion in oil, add the minced meat and simmer until the liquid evaporates. Then add the puree, which is fried with the meat for a shorter time, the sliced peppers, the chopped tomatoes, the grated garlic, salt and pepper to taste. Add a small amount of water, red wine or stock and cook for about 15 minutes. Arrange the bread, top with the stew, cover with toast, place in the toaster and bake. 3 Once baked, place the dish on a plate, sprinkle with cheese (optional) and serve. If there is any left over, it can be eaten cold.
