Boiled beetroot with horseradish

ingredients

10 pcs beetroot medium salt, bay leaf, crushed cumin ground black pepper homemade horseradish granulated sugar 1/2 lemon (juice) 2 dl water

Simple preparation. It is especially good for winter, as it is rich in health benefits and is a good natural remedy.

Wash the beetroot thoroughly and boil it in its skin in a pot of water. Add salt, bay leaf and cumin. Add the water while cooking so that the beetroot is still submerged in it. Boil until tender for about 40 minutes. Let the cooked beetroot cool down a little and peel it. The skin comes off easily.

Peel the peeled beetroot and grate finely. If necessary, add salt, cumin, black pepper to taste, homemade horseradish, lemon juice, sugar and water.

Simmer briefly (approx. 7-10 min.) to combine the flavours and pour the hot mixture into the jars. Close tightly with lids and sterilise at 80°C for 10 minutes. I made 8 2 dl jars from this batch. Enjoy!
