Here is the recipe for black forest in Thermomix,a tasty cake filled with syrup cherries and vanilla flavored whipped cream, easy and simple to make for a holiday dessert or birthday cake.
Ingredients:
For the sponge cake:
6 eggs 150 g sugar 150 g flour 80 g milk 35 g cocoa 1 packet baking powder 1 pinch salt
For the whipped cream:
400 g cold full cream 40 g powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the decoration:
1 can of cherries with juice from the grated chocolate
Preparation:
Heat the oven to 180°C.
Mix the egg whites first, insert the whisk and put the 6 egg whites in the bowl with a pinch of salt then set 4 minutes at speed 3.5. Set aside.
Remove the whisk then put the egg yolks and sugar then set 30 seconds at speed 3.
Add the milk then mix for 10 seconds at al speed 3.
Then add the cocoa, flour and baking powder then mix for 40 seconds at speed 4.
Fold in the egg whites then mix gently with a spatula.
Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured pan.
Bake for 35 to 40 min.
Once the sponge cake is cooked, remove from the oven, unmould and leave to cool on a wire rack.
While this is happening, put the bowl and whisk in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes.
Insert the bowl and whisk, put in the cream then set 1 minute 30 seconds on speed 3.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract then set 1 minute on speed 3.5.
Drain the cherries and keep the juice aside then cut a few into small pieces and reserve the rest for decoration.
Cut the sponge cake in 2 then soak with the cherry syrup.
Then spread the whipped cream and sprinkle cherries cut into small pieces on the first disk then cover with the second disk.
Finish the cake by covering it with the whipped cream then decorate with the rest of the whipped cream, grated chocolate and cherries
Then place the cake in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
