Beet and walnut buns

Here is the original recipe for beet and walnut rolls, with a beautiful pink crust and a soft crumb, easy and simple to make with your Thermomix, studies have shown that the consumption of “betanin”, one of the pigments that give beet its characteristic color, decreased the occurrence of skin, liver and lung cancers, so we could only advise you to embellish your beet dishes more often.

Ingredients: 450 g flour 50 ml water 300 g pre-cooked red beet 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 teaspoons salt 100 g walnuts 10 g bakers yeast Preparation:

In the bowl of the Thermomix put the nuts then mix 5 sec at speed 5, and keep aside.
Without washing the bowl put the chopped beets then mix 10 sec at speed 7.
Add the flour, salt, olive oil, yeast, and water then mix 20 sec at speed 3, then add the walnuts then set 2 min on cob.
Remove the dough, place in a container, cover with a tea towel and leave to rest for 1 hour.
Shape the dough into 4 rolls, place on a baking tray covered with baking paper then leave to rise again for 1 hour.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes.
