Baked onion soup
ingredients
200 g onion 3 tbsp oil 1 tbsp plain flour 1.25 litres meat broth a little black ground pepper to taste salt 6 sandwich a little fat 50 g hard cheese
procedure
1. Fry the onion, cut into rings, in oil until brown. Sprinkle with flour, fry, pour in the broth, season with salt and pepper and cook until the onions are soft. 2. Fry the slices of sandwich or baguette in fat. Pour the soup into casserole dishes, place the toasted sandwich slices and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake under the grill or in a well heated oven until the cheese melts.
