Baked fish with capers

3 tbsp butter 800 g white fish (tilapia) pk salt pk black pepper 1 kg potatoes pk fresh oregano 1/2 cup capers 1 pk orange 150 g grated cheese

It’s like olives with capers – few people like them the first time. If you like them, you definitely have to try this delicacy.

1.

First, prepare the white fish, in our case tilapia, which we wash and dry, season on both sides with salt and pepper.

Melt the butter in a large frying pan and sear the fish for two minutes on both sides.

Prepare the potato puree – clean the potatoes and boil them in salted water in the traditional way.

Add butter to drained potatoes and mash.

5.

Add fresh oregano and capers, mix lightly.

6.

Prepare a casserole dish in which you stack the fried fish and drizzle with the juice of one orange.

Spread the prepared mashed potatoes over the fish.

Finish with grated cheese.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes or until the cheese takes on a beautiful golden colour.

Serve.
