Looking for an alternative to potato chips that’s healthier yet still exceptionally tasty? You can flavor these avocado chips to your liking and they definitely won’t make you gain weight. Plus, they’re gluten-free.

1.

Prepare the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius.

2.

Select or squeeze all the flesh from the avocado, place it in a bowl and mash with the lime zest and juice. Do not completely mash, it is fine if a few small lumps remain.

3.

Add the cornflour (almond or rice flour is also an interesting alternative) and mix well. The flour helps create crispier chips by absorbing excess moisture from the mixture.

4.

Add chili flakes (or smoked paprika), salt, pepper and garlic.

5.

Finally, add the parmesan cheese and mix everything together well.

6.

Place the mixture in the fridge for a while and prepare 2 large baking sheets. Line them with baking paper and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Then remove the mixture and place mounded spoonfuls of the mixture evenly on the baking sheet with the baking paper. Using a finger rinsed with cold water, press the mounds into thin pancakes. Bake on the top and bottom racks for about 25 minutes, rotating the baking sheets halfway through.

7.

Watch the chips so they don’t get too dark. Remove the baking sheet from the oven after baking and allow the chips to cool for 5 minutes.

8.

Turn the chips out onto a wire rack and allow to cool completely. Enjoy!
