Asparagus pie

The parsnip pie gets a subtle mushroom flavour from the cantarella cream cheese. It would be a shame not to serve a glass of good Riesling wine with this pie. ouml;ljy; savoury pie crust
Place the oven on the heat.
Stir in cream cheese, cream, salt and pepper. Cut in the mozzarella.
Toss the pie crust in a shallow baking dish. Spoon a dollop of the crust onto the pie crust.
Thinly crust the outermost surface of the asparagus. Cut off the very base of the asparagus and cut off the centre.
As symmetrically as possible, arrange the asparagus in the centre of the pie. Press the asparagus gently into the core.
Soak the pie well in olive oil, sprinkle with thyme and place in the oven.
Remember to turn the oven down to 150C. The asparagus pie will be ready in half an hour.
