Armenian Shashlik

Bits of mutton leg or shoulder marinated overnight and then grilled on skewers on the grill or in the oven.

Ingredients:

600 g of ham hock or shoulder 150 g bacon 10 g oil 2 pcs large onion 1 pc lemon ground black pepper salt

Procedure:

1. Cut the mutton into pieces, season with salt and pepper and arrange in a bowl
2. Sprinkle the meat with oil and lemon juice, add finely chopped onion and grated lemon zest
3. Mix everything together and leave to rest overnight

Recommendation:

Serve the hot shashlik with bread garnished with tomatoes and onion rings.

Grill the meat slowly on the grill grate or in the oven, brushing with oil during cooking.
