Apples Baked with Spicy Stuffing
Pulled apples filled with marrow, meat mixture, liver and sage, baked with white wine.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Cut the tops off four washed apples, and cut out the insides to keep the apple shell at least 0.5 cm thick
2. Cut out the insides, without the pith, finely chop them and immediately drizzle with lemon juice
3. Mix the chopped apples with minced meat, liver and sage, season with pepper, add a little sugar and a little salt
4. Fill the apples with the prepared mixture, place them in a buttered quiche mould, pour white wine over them and cover with the remaining butter
5. Bake the dish in an oven heated to 200 °C for about 30 minutes.
Recommendation:
Serve the apples prepared in this way, for example, with baguette or wholemeal dark bread.
