Apple baba

ingredients

1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 packet vanilla sugar 1/2 cup oil 2 cups plain flour /I bake with gluten free Promix uni/ 1 cup walnuts 1 packet cinnamon sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 packet baking powder 4 cups grated apples apricot jam walnuts

I got this recipe from a friend, I modified it a bit. It’s great for cottage, trips, but also with coffee.

Beat the eggs + sugar + vanilla sugar + oil together until foamy.

Add 4 cups of grated apples to the whipped mixture.

Gradually add 1/4 – 1/2 cup of ground walnuts /to taste/, 1/2 baking powder, cinnamon sugar, 2 cups of flour and 1 tsp of baking soda and beat everything together well.

Pour the batter onto a greased, floured baking sheet and bake at 220 °C for 20-25 min.

After baking, brush the still hot cake with apricot jam.

Finally sprinkle with chopped nuts – they can be walnuts or hazelnuts /to taste/. Enjoy!
