Fresh rolls for breakfast? Prepare very simple rolls with a crispy crust and soft crumb.
1.
In a bowl, first mix the flour and salt with a spoon. Add the liquid butter and the yeast and 1cl of sugar mixed in 4dl of water. Add the remaining approx. 2,5-3dl of water progressively while working the dough according to how the flour drinks. Work out a semi-stiff dough, which you knead into a loaf with a little more flour. Cover with a tea towel and leave to rise for 1 hour.
2.
Make the coarse salt and whole caraway seeds for sprinkling. Next, a little water to rub on the rolls before baking and also for 1 msp of water to put on the bottom of the oven during baking. The water will evaporate from the dish during baking and from that our rolls will be pleasantly crispy ;-).
3.
Divide the risen dough into 17 equal parts and knead each piece briefly into a loaf.
4.
Work with the loaves immediately… Roll out the loaf thinly, first just into the shape of a large egg and then into the shape of a triangle. Finally, roll the dough from the wider side to the narrower side into a thin roll, with pointed sides :-).
5.
Place the rolls on a dry baking sheet, brush well with water and sprinkle with salt and caraway seeds. Leave the rolls to stand for 10 minutes. During this time, preheat the oven to 210°C and put a bowl of water, preferably already hot, to start boiling while the oven heats up to 210°C.
6.
Finally, put the rolls in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes until golden :-). You’d better check, because every oven bakes a little differently.
7.
Good taste!
