Alsatian savoury cake

A tasty savoury crumpet served in Alsace mainly with wine.

Ingredients:

200 g of sausage (English bacon …) 1 dcl oil 1.5 dcl water (milk) 3 dcl buckwheat flour 1 tsp pizza seasoning 1 tsp oregano 1 tsp salt 1 pk baking powder

2 pcs egg 2 pcs onions to taste cracklings to taste chopped walnuts

Procedure:

1. Place the bulk ingredients in a bowl and mix
2. Chop or finely chop the onion, cut the sausage into smaller cubes
3. Add to the bowl along with the eggs, water, oil, chopped nuts and crackling
4. Season with spices and salt
5. Mix everything thoroughly and pour into a greased and floured cake tin
6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about an hour.

Recommendation:

You can vary the ingredients according to your imagination and taste.
