Those who love mushrooms probably can’t resist the traditional Old Bohemian Christmas Eve dish called mushroom Kuba. And since Christmas dinner undoubtedly includes fish, we’ve added African catfish. You will not find any bones in the meat. In addition, its excellent quality has been awarded the Regional Food Award for the Vysočina Region.

of dried mushrooms
50 g
mustard
30 g
smooth flour
30 g
butter
2 pcs
garlic cloves
1 pk
onions
1 tbsp
chopped dill
Procedure:
Cover the dried mushrooms with a litre of water and bring to the boil. Boil on low heat for 10 min. Drain the broth.
Slice the onion finely and fry in oil to soften. Add the crushed garlic and stir for a minute. Add the groats and pour in the broth. Cook the groats until soft.
When the groats are soft, bring the broth to a boil, remove from the heat, add the mushrooms from the broth, butter, dill. Stir and season with salt, pepper and mustard.
Salt the fish on both sides, brush the skinless side with mustard and sprinkle with flour.
Heat a pan, add oil, lay the fish skin side down. Turn the heat down and slowly fry for about 4 min. Add a tablespoon of butter and baste the fish with butter until it is done.
Serve individual portions of fish on a bed of mushroom cube.
