When it comes to donuts, you can either make them from scratch or use a store-bought mix. If you want to save time, a mix is definitely the way to go. However, if you’re feeling adventurous or want to impress your friends and family, making donuts from scratch is a fun and delicious way to show off your baking skills.
One of our favorite recipes is for cherry pie filling and eggs donuts. This recipe is super simple and only requires a few ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen. Plus, it makes a ton of donuts so there’s plenty to share!
To make these donuts, start by mixing together the cherry pie filling, eggs, and flour. Then, simply roll out the dough on a floured surface and use a donut cutter to cut out the shape. Fry the donuts in hot oil until they’re golden brown and cooked through. Be sure to drain them on paper towels before glazing.
For the glaze, mix together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze and set them on a wire rack to dry. Once they’re dry, they’re ready to eat!
We love making these donuts for special occasions like birthdays and holidays. They’re always a big hit! If you have any leftover cherry pie filling, you could also use it to make a tasty topping for ice cream or pancakes
