Last Updated on
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. On a work surface, roll the dough to a 1/4-inch thickness. Using a ruler or a knife, cut the dough into 2-inch strips, then cut each strip into 2-inch squares. You should have about 16 squares.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Sprinkle each square with the sugar mixture, then top with a raisin or nut, if desired.
4. Bake the rolls until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Tips:
