Recipe for making barbecue sandwiches for lunch

What’s more summery than a barbecue sandwich? This classic dish is perfect for picnics, potlucks and casual get-togethers. Plus, it’s easy to make ahead of time and transport. Here’s a simple recipe for barbecue sandwiches that will be a hit at your next event.
Ingredients:
-1 pound of shredded barbecue chicken
-1/2 cup of barbecue sauce
-1/2 cup of mayonnaise
-1/4 cup of diced onion
-1/4 cup of diced celery
-1/4 cup of chopped pickles
-1 tablespoon of vinegar
-1 tablespoon of sugar
-1 teaspoon of pepper
-8 hamburger buns
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, barbecue sauce, mayonnaise, onion, celery, pickles, vinegar, sugar and pepper.
2. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
3. Grill the chicken mixture for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until heated through.
4. Serve the chicken on the hamburger buns.
You can also serve the chicken mixture on rolls or in pitas. If you’re making this ahead of time, store the mixture in a sealed container in the fridge and reheat when you’re ready to serve
