May Day dinner for two
Last Updated on
Apple is a time for a relaxed attitude, both in the kitchen and at the picnic. May Day is a two-part celebration, so plan and prepare your food and drinks well in advance, so you can enjoy the sparkling waters of the party.
Food on Shrove Tuesday
On Shrove Tuesday, you celebrate in a group and guests turn up as they arrive. Therefore, it is not a good idea to stick to a tight schedule, but to prepare a variety of snacks, which can be hearty and long on the stove. They’re nice to nibble on throughout the evening. The tapas platter is a very suitable set for this purpose. The tapas are quick to make and there’s something to suit everyone’s taste.

For dessert, a delicious orange pudding
Orange-flavoured roast pudding is a delicious and light breakfast dish.
Christmas morning dishes
Christmas morning with a refreshing smoothie. It tastes heavenly after the party and gives you just enough energy to keep you going until May Day brunch.
Christmas smoothie no.1 br> 4 dl water / cubes / milk
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Vappubrunssi
Brunssi is generally enjoyed outside, regardless of the weather (if you don’t believe me, go to the Well Park to find out). The Vappubrunss is a Finnish brunch with fish, such as herring. The herring is quite good and you can get it right off the shelf, but you’ll certainly impress the party crowd by marinating the herring yourself.

Toast Skagen
Toast Skagen is delicious in myös picnic setting.
Vappy Evening
After a night of fun and games, it’s a good idea to stock up on tasty treats for the evening. What could taste better than a home-made kebab! You really don’t need to buy this delicacy at the corner pizzeria, but homemade kebabs are really good and even better than meat from the supermarket. The kebab does require a couple of days of preparation, but it’s worth the effort.
