From our grandmothers’ recipe book. Onions fried in lard with cracklings, mixed with cooked beans and groats.

Procedure:
1. 1. After about 3 hours, boil them in the water in which they were soaked 3. Just before the end of cooking, salt them, then drain them and leave them to drain 4. Cook the carefully rinsed groats in sufficient water until tender, then drain them, rinse them several times and leave them to drain 5. Fry sliced onion in lard with cracklings, mix with beans and groats.
Recommendation:
Serve with fresh bread.
