Dumplings with fruit
Last Updated on
Blown sweet dumplings filled with your favourite fruit. Cooked in water and topped with cottage cheese, breadcrumbs or poppy seeds.
Ingredients:
.
Procedure:
1. Take one tablespoon of the given amount of milk in a bowl, add sugar and crumble the yeast
2. Let the yeast rise, which takes about 15 minutes
3. Sift the flour and salt into a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolk in the remaining milk and add to the flour
4. Add the sourdough starter
5. Add salt and work into a stiff, non-sticky dough, which we leave to rise for about an hour
6. Then we use a spoon to cut out pieces, which we flatten with the palm of our hand and fill with fruit
7. Leave to rise for 15 minutes
9. Cook in plenty of lightly salted water for 8 minutes
10. Halfway through cooking, turn the dumplings over
11. Remove with a slotted spoon and immediately after removing from the water, pierce them in several places with a skewer to release the steam
12. Dot the plates with butter, dust with icing sugar to taste and add your favourite sprinkles.
Recommendation:
The amount of milk is approximate depending on the “absorbency” of the flour.
