The buns are versatile, suitable for breakfast with hokkaido jam but also savoury with cheese and olives.

First mix all ingredients and knead for 5 minutes

Let rise for an hour and divide the dough into 12 parts.

Patter with egg yolk, sprinkle with almonds and sesame seeds and bake for 15-20 minutes at 185°C.
