150 g honey 250 g granulated sugar 100 g butter 150 ml water 500 g plain flour T650 1 pk egg 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp soda 1 tbsp gingerbread spice

Add honey, sugar, butter and water to the pot. Bring everything together, stirring constantly, to a boil and let simmer for about 2 minutes. Remove the honey mixture from the heat and let it cool completely.

Sieve the flour into a larger bowl and stir in the baking soda, baking powder and gingerbread spice. Whisk the whole egg into the cooled honey mixture and gradually stir in the flour. Knead into a stiff dough. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 12 hours.

The next day, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 0,5 cm and cut out gingerbread shapes. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C on a greased baking tray until beautifully browned. Once cooled, decorate with sugar icing.
